THE BEAUTY OF TERENGGANU

Do you ever heard of Terengganu? It is a beautiful state in Malaysia, I went there on 2011, that time, it was a school field trip. I still remember that we went to a few places that really shows beauty in nature. The trees, the greens, the flowers, the skies, the view, everything! I am amazed myself of Terengganu. Here, I will share my experience visiting there 3 years ago.

We, the whole class went off  late in the evening, because it will be a long ride to Terengganu and we expect to arrive at our renthouse by night. And we did! The house is small but perfectly fits all of the boys in it. We were forced to go out at night to find some foods, at that when I realized there was a small lake behind the house, and it somewhat beautiful. Imagine the moonlight reflected on the water, making it shines like some sort of crystal water.

Our first day, we visited the newspaper factory, which actually printed the newspaper for Terengganu. Apparently, they only work early in the morning. So that means the news is fresh. When we finished there, they gave us a copy of newspaper for that day, such generosity. 

After that we went to the Biggest Museum in South East Asia. The infamous Museum of Terengganu, which places the history of the famous “Batu Bersurat”. The museum itself is beautiful, with a big house-like design, plus the colour of old oak tree, with the traditional off  ground build. It makes yourself feels so tiny. Even the stairs is so high. There was a mini train that takes us around, viewing the blissful greens and many objects that has their own history in them. 

The next day, we visited the genuine “Batu Bersurat”. Here, you can see they preserved the historical artifact under a beautiful hut, surrounded with decorated garden. In front of it, lies a signboard that explains the translation of the artifact, unfortunately, only half of the message was decoded. Which leaves the other half remains a mystery. Which we may never find out, but it was hidden maybe for a good reason.

 After that, we visits the “Pasar Payang”, which places a giant buildings beside the seashore, which contains dozens of shops, which sells many accessories and clothes that represents Terengganu. If you’re visiting this place, dont forget to have a look at the wonderous view of the sea from afar, also take a few pictures of the water and view, it is very nostalgic for me to remind all of this back.

The last day,  we went to the Kenyir Lake, the biggest lake in Malaysia, which can drown people of Terengganu if the dam was broken. From here, we knew that there’s a few island in it and it is available for rental. Did I mention that the lake is a paradise for fisherman around Malaysia? Truely enjoyable sight with great activity. You can do jungle trekking, or fishing in the water, or take a dip in the river and get treated by the fishes theree, or just relax on your own island, surrounded with the sound of birds and bugs .

After that, we finally came down to the ultimate destination. The infamous Crystal Mosque in Terengganu, I was very astonished by the structure. It is beautiful, very beautiful. By the time we arrived, it was raining. Which enhances the warmth on my heart seeing such beautiful creation of mankind. It was decorated with shiny like glass material around it. And people around will take a pic with their phones and cameras. Plus, a garden in front of it, which really brings the delightful feelings inside your heart when crossing the garden. It also placed strategically beside the seashore, which makes in very beautiful to see from a far.

Last but not least, on the way home, we did visits a beach which I cant remember the name,, and bought the famous “Keropok Lekor”. It is delicious indeed, because we didnt have a chance to bring any of it as we already eaten it in the bus. Hahaha, such memories will be in my heart until I die. And i must state that Terengganu is a beautiful state indeed, no doubt.
